time lords

Dearest Log,

It's the middle of winter here. I'm not used to driving in the rain. Last night it rained so hard while I was driving that I couldn't see the lane markers. It was an anxious moment. I didn't want to have an accident, so I drove kinda slowly and cautiously. Like an auld lady. Previous winters have not been this wet, thanks to drought. I got used to it hardly raining. I like the rain. I like to listen to it at night when I go to sleep. Or when I am having trouble getting to sleep, which seems to be the case, lately. When we lived in Tasmania we had rain all the time. It seemed like it rained all the time. That was a long time ago, though, over 20 years ago. Geez. The rain has also brought huge flocks of birds, and mice... blaugh! I hate mice. I especially hate plagues of mice. Glad we live in the 'burbs and not out in the country where it's really bad.

From the desk I have a view of the lemon tree and it is totally over-filled with fruit. It looks quite beautiful.

The Doctors coming home at lunchtime today and then he's got a week off work. I look forward to that. Wish I could have a break. Can you have a break from a marriage? Can I just take a week off? He complains about everything when he's home. I like it when he has to travel for work. Then everything is relaxed at home, because we don't have to worry about the little things that he makes such a big deal about.

Instead of daydreaming, I should get back to work.

Get Back To Work!!
